The Advisory Group on Education of the Monitoring Group of the Anti- Doping Convention (T-DO ED) met in Istanbul (Türkiye),

The meeting, hosted by the Turkish Ministry of Youth and Sports took place at the Istanbul Ataköy International Youth Center, from 30 September – 1 st October 2025 and brought together more than 50 education and anti-doping specialists from 42 States parties to the Convention, Observers from Kazakhstan, Qatar, USA, as well as the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA). Educational Institutions and international sport federations also participated.

This Meeting was attended from Albania by the Coordinator of the National Anti-Doping Platform, Ms. Violeta Shqevi and the Director of OKAD, Mr. Surven Metolli.

The event focused on key issues as Training for Educators, sources of contamination, education for minors and parents, and athletes with special needs. Participants also benefitted from a presentation of the International Olympic Committee’s Olympic Values Education Programme (OVEP) and an in-depth overview of the current situation with regards to anti-doping education in undergraduate curricula across Europe.
